And too long when lived in regret. " Jacquelene Close Moore
I once saw a post where the Dalai Lama was asked what the purpose of life was and he replied "To be happy and useful."
It can be that simple. Some times it is about finding happiness in a job you aren't completely in love with, knowing that actually others have it a lot worse, that you are doing well in it and that your home life is enjoyable. For other people it is about having a dream and making it a reality. Not all people achieve 'happy' the same way, and happy doesn't always mean jumping up and down, arms outstretched, cheering "I am happy" when you aren't.
It all starts with acceptance, and then, if you still feel the need to move, to make a realistic plan to get there. Some times, it's about accepting that things are at that time how they are, and then doing what we can to change it if we really want to. Anything can be achieved if you dream, act, persist, and believe.
We do reap as we sow...A short look at politics demonstrates that fact daily.
You can have success and spirit
For one example, Investment properties are a business, not a home. When I show them other locations they could have had far better value for money on both the purchase price and rental return they look relieved and surprised at how much harder they have been doing things than they had to. So, for that reason, I would say that you need to act with your heart in matters of the heart, but in matters of investment, put your business head on please.
Separate out decisions of the heart from the decisions requiring the head, it should save you a lot of loss. But at the same time I am a great advocate for ethical investment.
If you however are starting a business that you will work in, its best to combine heart, head AND gut instinct.
In matters of finding deeper life and work purpose, while trends and fads are very contagious in our western society, purpose doesn't come in a happy meal. Some people are destined to be in love with their work, others are destined to be in love with their home, partner, family or friends and to work in order to afford to enjoy their home, family and friends. Not all of us are destined to have all or none of these things in the same ratios as experienced by friends around us. Additionally, there is destiny and there is free will and choice, which can take destiny on a hay ride detour for a while until destiny comes back for another attempt. We can also find that we are destined to a particular outcome, and our free will can effect how easily or harshly we experience that destiny, how long it takes to get there, and what shape we will be in when we arrive. There are always things you can do.
If you are having trouble finding your purpose and are worried about it, a good place to start is with what you wanted to be (as a child) when you grew up, and go from there. If you can't remember that, start with what activities make you feel useful, and content. For some people this life will be about stepping up and leading, for others it will be about not having to lead and instead simply leading themselves.
Meditation, self healing, having a healing or reading to help you clarify, or studying your own astrology chart can also help a great deal because all of these help you get in touch with you, as well as your higher self.
We aren't a one size fits all type of creation, we are unique and individual, however we are also part of a greater whole. getting to know yourself helps you know where you need most to be.
Lots of love
