We have had a fun few months being back out at expos and public events in addition to our normal client contact in appointments at the shop, having visiting psychics at the store, and group bookings. It has also been a time where Thomas, and some of the team and I have traveled around Victoria and Australia to Sydney, Brisbane, and beyond while going about our work.
Spruced up shoppe
The shop, The Psychic Star, has turned 8 years old last month, and after many years of having a subtle front window with hardly anything in it, tucked away in the side street, finally I got onto photoshop and a printer... And dressed up that shop window. The shop window actually has posters now, and while still a work in progress, it's well on the way.
There's always a silver lining
A note today about not giving up...
To have better luck, start by seeing the silver lining, and slow down. Sometimes things that aren't meant for you just won't happen no matter what you do, but in slowing down, your awareness widens, increases and becomes more acute, you are more alert and able to take up opportunity - that you can now perceive- that is right for you and thus you feel luckier and are more on track to experience the things that you need rather than that which won't be suited to your overall path and destiny.
"Sometimes a road block is in fact a blessing in disguise, and a detour to the best journeys and destinations of your life that you would have missed if you refused to change direction and outlook"
Half the joy in happiness is not being in pursuit of it
"How you climb the ladder is how you later fall,
and it's also who will or won't be there to cushion your landing."
"All of us rise to the top of the mountain that is our career, and eventually as with all things what goes up must eventually climb back down the other side. "
"How you climbed equals how you fall. If your climb involves stepping on many others and harming them, no one will break your fall and it's a hard, heavy landing..."
"But if you made your way up honestly, others will help you on the way down, having remembered you from when you helped them up on their and your own way up the mountain side."
I have never seen the ends justifying the means, but that the means must come from a place of purity or the ends are only fleeting, unsustainable, and only a mirage, as they aren't solid and true foundations upon which to count well into the future.
Start by being happy with you...
Eleanor Roosevelt had some pretty good philosophies, one of them being, that if you treat happiness as a side effect and not a goal, you will achieve contentment and naturally, and another being that putting your mind to higher things rather than idle gossip about others was a pretty healthy ideal that was likely to assist you to live a better life.
I have found on average, clients have achieved a greater sense of contentment in their lives by being happy with the choices they made, the way they did what they did and why they did it.
All of that is about being authentic to you, your purpose and nature.
The other age old saying is :-
"You can please some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time."
“Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.”
― Maya Angelou
I feel Maya knew exactly what she was talking about because people sometimes can forget everything that really matters in pursuit of their career success. To be truly successful and happy is to both be achieving all you can in all areas of life and career that is possible, and to be capable of being content in who you are... Content in how you treated others and those closest to you, and the presence you have had in their lives. That you were true to yourself and truthful to others...still in touch with, on a personal level, the attitudes and ideals you stand for. That you stand for something and care about the events, and people that really do matter in your life. That you cared for family, loved ones, and felt that certain sense of belonging, that feeling of home.
That is what helps create personal peace that one gets from knowing they are where they are meant to be, doing what they are meant to be doing, with whom and even if not overjoyed with their work life, to have gratitude for what provision it makes for their life, their home, and those under their care.
If you feel the need for a reading for guidance and healing to make better use of the opportunities at hand, we are only a phone call away.
Love and blessings for a brilliant week
